Meet Brit woman who drinks 6 gallons of water per day

London - A young mother-of-two has a bizarre addiction to water as she drinks up to six gallons of it every day.

The unusual obsession also forces Sasha Kennedy to use the toilet up to 40 times through the day and night.

“If I feel my mouth start to get dry I have to get my next fix of water, it’s all I can focus on,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.

“The most sleep I’ve ever had is about an hour and 15 minutes because I get up to drink or nip to the loo,” she said.

The 26-year-old’s parents sought medical advice when her constant desire for water began at the age of two.

However an examination found that there was nothing wrong. By 13 she was drinking up to 15 liters a day and now gets through as much as 25 liters, which is incredibly 100 times more than the average Briton.
 
“When I was 16 I worked in a shoe shop and everyone noticed how much I drank. They ended up moving the water cooler next to my desk,” she said.

By her early 20s she was downing 20 litres a day and her addiction peaked when she started working from home.

“Over-hydrating with any fluid is possible and in extreme cases it can be dangerous but this is very rare,” nutrition consultant Dr Emma Derbyshire said.

“The Department of Health recommends we should drink six to eight glasses of fluid a day. The average Briton drinks just 200ml of water a day,” Kinvara Carey, of the Natural Hydration Council, said.
