It often happens that a woman gets stuck on a career level, and does not move to significant results. This happens because there are mistakes woman at work makes, which interfere occupying really high position in a company.

1. Acrimony
An ability to be sensitive to everything that happens around us is inherent in women. This is a great ability that helps you feeling the whole range of emotions life gives us. However, acrimony in woman at work is not the quality that would help women making a career. This trait often results in relations with management or colleagues, beyond business, which affects reputation and discourages focusing on work. Sometimes one’s inability to control emotions is the cause of quarrels. Emotional person is easier to manipulate and competitors often use this.
If a woman wants being successful in professional life, she must look at men, and that means learning to control herself and not show emotions at wrong time.

2. Fear of loneliness
It’s no secret that there is a stereotype: a successful woman is often lonely and unhappy in personal life. There is a belief that men are afraid of strong, successful and intelligent women. Many capable women who could really achieve something in career are really frightened by the myth. Clearly, personal life is very important. It is difficult to choose between family or career, but one may consider whether such a choice is needed?
Those who make a career, are able to combine both work and family without compromising themselves and loved ones. Women leaders advise simply be yourself, not to lose charm and femininity, even if you occupy a very high position.

3. Fear of conflict
Mistakes of woman at work may be different, but most often found women at work, as in a family, are trying to keep peace at any price. A woman wants to be good for all, get away from conflict and thus harm her career.
Striving for success in any sphere of life presupposes the existence of competition. And being in good honest relationship with those who gladly would have taken your place is virtually impossible. If a woman wants to maintain good relations in a team at all costs, she would have to sacrifice a career. This becomes a stumbling block to success. To ensure you are not used as a stepping stone for others’ achievements, you must be able to say “no” and behave according to your own benefit and not for the common good. Women sometimes should remember they cannot be pleasant to everyone, no matter how they try.

4. The desire to be indispensable
Women are often  engaged in too many things - they look after their families, children, house, self-care, work. A habit to combine several difficult matters affects work. Women tend to take more than they can afford. Thus, women more often agree to perform additional duties to help a colleague, to work for other employee and so on. As a result, it goes that a woman spends extra forces at work, and the result does not affect her career. It would be much more sensible to do less, but with better quality. This way it is much easier to conquer the next peak of success.

5. Passivity
Despite the fact that women have equal rights with men now, the echoes of patriarchy are still taking place. Mistakes of woman at work, especially in a men’s team, are often associated with passivity. If a woman has abilities or even talent, but lack of ambition, she unconsciously passes the reins to a man. Such woman will not take a risk for the sake of a new project, take responsibility, show initiative. She will quietly perform her duties and provide others an opportunity to prove themselves.

To avoid being branded as weak and unable to survive in difficult situations, we must understand clearly our goals and desires. If you want to become independent and successful, you have to learn achieving goals. Being passive, it is difficult to grasp a piece of pie you need.

6. Weakness
Strong woman is not something coming out of conventional framework. But, nevertheless, a woman always remains a woman, whatever circumstances she may find herself in. At some point, a woman reveals her nature, and employer often does not like it. Women are rarely in a position to control not only their emotions, but also instincts. They are subconsciously looking for partners, if they are alone in personal life, so they are often initiators of close relationships with colleagues. In addition, women appreciate a desire to raise a family and children above all. Some employees manage to use a maternity leave twice for 5 or less years, which not always satisfy an employer.

If you want to achieve any serious success in your work, you have to take into account employer’s interests. Learn planning personal life so that it would not interfere with work. You just have to decide priorities - whether you want to climb or something else.

We may think that mistakes of woman at work are more serious than men’s, but it is not truth. Men tend to have greater responsibility and make mistakes, perhaps less, but on a grand scale. However, employers believe that serious breakthroughs in women’s career development  are often not possible, precisely because most of them stumble in the same field. If you do not want to be among those who will forever remain in a position of a private specialist, if you have plenty of ambition and abilities, then learn from other people’s mistakes and not make those mistakes, which can be avoided.
