Kuala Lumpur -  A female ghost “fell in love” with a bachelor and made sure he didn’t get married even though he went for several matchmaking sessions.

According to Guang Ming Daily, his family members only found out later that the female ghost tried to “stop” the man from having any relationship with any other woman, the Star Online  reported.

The 63-year-old man died of a heart attack three years ago.

The man’s sister said she dreamt her brother told her he wanted to marry the woman during the Hungry Ghost Festival last year.

The sister said the man urged his family members to arrange an afterworld wedding ceremony for him and the female ghost.

Family members found out that the female ghost’s mother miscarried her 43 years ago, and she is also from Penang.

The two families do not know each other.

The wedding ceremony was held at a temple in Penang on Sept 4 with representatives from both families present.
