London - Kate Middleton has been voted as having the hairstyle British women covet most.
The British royal polled over a quarter of the vote while Holly Willoughby took in just under a fifth of the votes, in a survey conducted by salon products retailer Fabriah.com, the Daily Mail reported.
Experts at the company compiled a shortlist of the top ten celebrity hairstyles before opening it up to a public vote.
The poll of 500 women showed that big hair with volume and curls is definitely on trend, with singer Lana Del Rey, who has long, wavy hair, coming in third place.
Meanwhile, Jennifer Aniston - who once had the most sought after hair with her ‘Rachel’ style from Friends – showed that she is still popular, with her current sleek look coming in at number four.
Francesca Davies from Fabriah.com said the results reflected the times, as Kate is currently the fashion icon of the moment, with women clamouring to copy her style.
“Truly great hair comes about rarely and when it does it is a real trend setter,†she said.
“If we had taken this poll ten years ago Jennifer Aniston would have probably been number one.
The bottom three places in the poll went to reality star Kim Kardashian and Nicky Minaj, who both polled four per cent, and ‘The X Factor’ judge Tulisa Contostavlos who scored three.
