Melbourne - A hotel has been built in Tepoztlan, Mexico that is made up of just drainpipes.
Surprisingly cosy, the pipes - which normally would be used as storm drains and sewers - are fitted out with a queen bed, storage, a nightlight and offer mountain views of Tepoztlan, News.com.au reported.
According to the Daily Mail, Tubo Hotel’s owner Robb Anderson said that he found the pipes just by chance and locals agreed to let him use them.
“The tubes were just lying there doing nothing so one day we asked if we could use them, they said yes so we decided to make a hotel,†he said.
He said that though his 20-pipe accommodation was hostel-style it had attracted travellers of all budgets because of its novelty factor.
The concrete cots go for about 30-dollar-a-night during the week, and 55 dollars on the weekend.
