Chandigarh (ANI) - Olympic bronze medallist boxer Vijender Singh has appreciated the infrastructure set in place for the upcoming Commonwealth Games.

Talking to reporters here on Tuesday, he said: "I think it (expenditure) is good on the stadiums and the infrastructure is also good."

He also expressed his satisfaction with the preparations for the Games.

"The sportspersons got good infrastructure and facilities while preparing for the Games.

Now the time is to train hard and perform well. Facilities will definitely improve if we win more medals," he said.

Asked about doping test, he said It's the responsibility of every Indian athlete to stay clean and perform to utmost of abilities and win medal for country.

"Ahead of CWG any doping case will bring a bad name to the country and take away the sheen from this mega event," he added.

India is expecting about two million tourists in New Delhi for the Games, as well as about 10,000 athletes from 71 teams representing 54 Commonwealth member states.

The 2010 Commonwealth Games is India's biggest sporting event since the 1982 Asian Games.
