Manual issued for animal experiments in research

New Delhi, Jan 15 (ANI): Union Minister of State for Environment and Forests Jairam Ramesh said on Friday, his ministry has issued a Standard Operating Procedure manual for various institutes on the use of small animals for experiments.

Ramesh said that the manual would be issued to around 13,000 institutes in the country.

“Today, we have released the Standard Operating Procedure under which the institutes, which use small animals for various experiments, we have prepared a Standard Operating Procedure manual for them, on how to use the animals,” said Ramesh

“There are around 13,000 institutes where animals are being used; the manual will be issued to them by our ministry,” he added. (ANI)
