Manual issued for animal experiments in research

New Delhi, Jan 15 (ANI): Union Minister of State for Environment and Forests Jairam Ramesh said on Friday, his ministry has issued a Standard Operating Procedure manual for various institutes on the use of small animals for experiments.

Ramesh said that the manual would be issued to around 13,000 institutes in the country.

â€œToday, we have released the Standard Operating Procedure under which the institutes, which use small animals for various experiments, we have prepared a Standard Operating Procedure manual for them, on how to use the animals,â€ said Ramesh

â€œThere are around 13,000 institutes where animals are being used; the manual will be issued to them by our ministry,â€ he added. (ANI)
