New Delhi, Jan 25 (IANS) South African Tourism will begin its annual roadshows in different cities, from Mumbai to Ahmedabad, with the aim of targeting Indian tourists to visit the country for the world cup,

According to a press release, the theme of this year's road show is the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa which will take place in June-July.

The cup mascot, Zakumi, a leopard with green hair, will be travelling to all cities as part of the roadshow, which starts from Feb 8 in Mumbai.

'Tourist arrivals from India have been growing steadily with a year-on-year growth at 17 percent till September 2009. We are confident of riding the growth wave aided by the various marketing initiatives planned for the coming months,' South African Tourism's India head Medha Sampat said.
