New Delhi - The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment on Wednesday urged the Ministry of Civil Aviation to probe off-loading of a disabled person by Spice Jet in Kolkata.

Jeeja Ghosh, a victim of cerebral palsy, had complained to the Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment about being wrongfully off loaded from a Spice Jet flight No.SG-308 in Kolkata on  February 19.

The incident, prima facie, constitutes a serious violation of her rights as person with disability, as also a violation of the Carriage by Air of Persons with Disability and/or Persons with  Reduced Mobility Rules, 2008.
