Fishermen shooting: Two Italians' police custody extended

Kollam (Kerala) - A Kerala court here Thursday extended by another week the police custody of the two Italian Marines arrested for shooting dead two Indian fishermen Feb 15.

The counsel for the Italians told the court that at the time of the police interrogation inside the ship, Italian officials should be allowed to be present. The court agreed to it.

Italian marines, Latorre Massimillano and Salvatore Girone, were sent by a court here Monday to 14 days' remand with the police given the first three days to interrogate them.
