Rise in infiltration in Kashmir: Chidambaram

Friday - Feb 19, 2010, 07:44pm (GMT+5.5)
[+] Text [-]
New Delhi, Feb 19 (IANS) Home Minister P. Chidambaram Friday said there has been a rise in infiltration into Kashmir from across the border.

"There has been a rise in infiltration from across the border but a drop in the number of incidents," Chidambaram told reporters here.

The home minister said that militant organisations are giving another push to increase infiltration of terrorists, probably as they are unhappy with the quiet talks, the prime minister's reconstruction projects and a stable government in Jammu and Kashmir.
