Guwahati -  Lobsang Sangay, prime minister of the Tibetan government-in-exile, is likely to kickstart an awareness campaign on the Tibetan issue in northeastern states March 26, an organiser said here Thursday.

Northeast Coordinator of the Core Group for Tibetan Cause R.K. Khrimey said they have also invited other experts to take part in the campaign.

"This is going to be the first-of-its-kind seminar on the Tibetan issue in this part of the country,” he said.

The Tibetan government-in-exile, which has never won recognition from any country, is based in Dharamsala. India is home to around 100,000 Tibetans, many of whom livr in the northeastern states.
