Cobra rescued from premises of Odisha secretariat

Bhubaneswar -  A snake helpline team rescued a cobra snake from the premises of the Odisha secretariat here Saturday, said a helpline volunteer.

Subhendu Mallick, the founder of the helpline and who led the rescue team, said the snake was an Indian cobra and measured about four feet in length.

"We found the snake near the main gate of the secretariat," Mallik told IANS. It was captured before it could bite any one, he said adding that the snake was first spotted by the secretariat  security staff.
