Factory building collapses in Jalandhar, one dead, 30 still trapped Jalandhar - A building housing a blanket factory collapsed in Jalandhar late on Sunday night, leaving one person dead.

At least 25 to 30 people are still feared trapped under the debris.

The incident occurred in Jalandhar’s Focal Point area, media reports said.

So far, 40 to 42 people have been rescued.

Rescue operations have been hindered by rain on Monday morning.

Eyewitnesses said the building fell after an explosion in the boiler.
