Subhash Joshi appointed NSG chief

New Delhi -  Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Subhash Joshi has been appointed director general of the National Security Guard (NSG), an official statement said Tuesday.

Presently special director general in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Joshi is a 1976 batch IPS officer.

"The appointment will be effective from the date of his taking over the charge of the post and until his superannuation Feb 28, 2014 or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier," the statement said.
