Cop commits suicide in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad, Feb 25 (IANS) A police constable committed suicide here Thursday by hanging himself in his house, an official said.

The wife of 47-year-old Naresh Sharma, a resident of Nandgram locality, told police that when she woke up Thursday at around 5 a.m. she found her husband hanging by a sari from the ventilator window.

"We are investigating the case. Prima facie, it appears to be a case of domestic problems but the real cause will only be ascertained after the investigation," Superintendent of Police (City) A.K. Vijaita said.

Sharma is survived by his wife, 13-year-old daughter and a six-month-old son.
