Panaji -  An ice cream parlour in Ponda, 30 km from here, was Wednesday ordered by the authorities to shut down after the owner was videotaped peeing into a juice shaker.

The Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) authorities ordered the sealing of the ice cream parlour on the basis of a video which was submitted to its office after being aired on a local news channel. FDA officials also raided the parlour Wednesday morning.

"Looking at the CD, it is understood what the owner was indulging in," FDA director Salim Veljee said.

The three-minute clip shows the owner of the ice cream parlour peeing into a utensil used to mix juices and later serving the same juice to his customers.
