New Delhi - A 42-year-old Delhi Police head constable was killed here after a speeding mini-truck hit his bike, police said Friday.
Satender Sharma, who was deputed with the Special Cell of Delhi Police, was heading towards his office around 7 p.m. Thursday when the speeding truck hit his bike from the rear in east Delhi's Welcome area.
Sharma, a resident of Ghaziabad, was rushed to Guru Teg Bahadur hospital where he was declared brought dead from excessive bleeding caused by his head injury.
A case regarding the accident has been registered and the errant driver, whose identity is yet to be disclosed, has been arrested.
