New Delhi - The visiting Mauritius Foreign Affairs Minister, Arvin Boolell, will hold delegation-level talks with his Indian counterpart S.M. Krishna here on Thursday during which the two sides are expected to discuss issues of international, regional and bilateral interest.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and International Trade, who is presently on a three-day official visit to India, is also expected to call on other Indian dignitaries.
Relations between India and Mauritius have been unique, built up on the historical and cultural linkages. Both countries enjoy an active programme on cooperation in various fields including capacity building, economic and social development, defence and security, as also trade and investment.
There are regular exchanges of high-level visits between India and Mauritius.
The Prime Minister of Mauritius, Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam, paid a state visit to India from February 6 to 11. During the visit, India announced an economic package of USD 270 million, which included a line of credit of USD 250 million and grant of USD 20 million to Mauritius.
