Muggy Tuesday in Delhi, rains expected

New Delhi -  It was a muggy and partly cloudy morning for Delhiites Tuesday with the minimum temperature settling three notches above average at 29.5 degrees Celsius. The weather office  has forecast rains later in the day.

"The sky will be partly cloudy and a few spells of rain or thundershowers are expected later in the day," an India Meteorological Department official said.

The maximum temperature is expected to hover at 38 degrees Celsius, the official added.

Humidity recorded at 8:30 a.m. stood at 65 percent.

Monday's maximum temperature settled four notches above at 37.8 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature rose a notch above average at 27.5 degrees Celsius.
