Bhutia congratulates Indian medal winners at Olympics

Kolkata -  Former Indian soccer captain Bhaichung Bhutia has congratulated the sportspersons who have won medals at the ongoing London Olympics.
 
Speaking to reporters, Bhutia said he hopes India would soon win a Gold as well.
 
“I think its outstanding, Saina Nehwal to Vijay Kumar who has got silver. It’s been fantastic, I think we just need one Gold now, which will happen,” Bhutia said.
 
Bhutia is considered the torchbearer of Indian football in the international arena, and is nicknamed the ‘Sikkimese Sniper’ because of his shooting skills in football.
 
Bhutia is also the first Indian footballer to play professionally in Europe.
 
Three-time Indian Player of the Year, I. M. Vijayan described Bhutia as "God's gift to Indian football".
 
So far, India has won two bronze medals, Saina Nehwal and Gagan Narang in the women’s badminton singles and in the men's 10 m air rifle shooting event respectively, while Vijay Kumar has

bagged a silver medal in men's 25 m rapid-fire pistol shooting event.
