New Delhi - Japan’s Ambassador to India Akitaka Saiki has urged Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda to send out a reassuring message from the state to restore investor confidence, in the wake of the recent worker-related disturbances at the Maruti automobile plant in Manesar.

Ambassador Saiki conveyed this message to Chief Minister Hooda on Tuesday during a meeting at which both exchanged views on the state of affairs between Japan and Haryana.

The Ambassador said that the Japanese business community has traditionally enjoyed good relations with the State of Haryana, but expressed the hope that the state would continue to send out a strong message to restore investor confidence particularly of Japanese companies situated in Haryana.

Chief Minister Hooda reassured that his state would strive to meet the expectation of the Japanese community to ensure its well-being and security.
