New Delhi - A 26-year-old youth was arrested for sexually assaulting an eight-month-old girl here, police said Friday.

The accused, identified as Lal Bahadur, was arrested Aug 15 morning from Old Delhi Railway Station from where he was about to board a Bihar-bound train to flee the city.
The victim's mother alleged that Bahadur, her neighbour, had taken her daughter to his room on Aug 12 saying that he wanted to play with her.
"He brought back the baby after she started crying. She continued crying till night. When her mother noticed unusual bruises near her private part, she got suspicious and reported the matter to the police.
