New Delhi -  Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief ministers and key party leaders from all states Saturday met here to discuss economic situation in the country.

The meeting, presided over by BJP president Nitin Gadkari, will reflect on the economy in the light of ongoing global economic downturn and deficient rainfall in the country.

It will also discuss the remedial measures taken by state governments and "discrimination faced by the BJP-ruled states".

Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda and Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar were not present in the inaugural session of the meeting.
