PM assures all-party delegation on Ambedkar memorial in Mumbai

New Delhi - Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on Saturday met an all-party delegation on the issue of building a memorial for Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar in Mumbai, and assured that the government will do all that is possible to facilitate the construction of such a memorial.

Dr. Singh, who heard the views of the delegation, said that there are no two views that Dr. Ambedkar was the father of our Constitution and that there should be a grand memorial for him in Mumbai.

Emphasizing that there should be no further loss of time, Dr. Singh said: "I will ensure that all possible options are explored and the matter is expedited."
