IM operative Fasih Mohammed arrested on arrival from Saudi ArabiaNew Delhi - Fasih Mohammed, an alleged member of Indian Mujahideen, has been arrested on his arrival from Saudi Arabia on Monday.

Saudi Arabia deported Fasih after they had enough evidence on his involvement in terror acts in India.

An engineer from profession Fasih is alleged to have been involved in the Chinnaswamy Stadium blast in Bangalore and the shooting near Jama Masjid (Delhi) in 2010.

Saudi Arabia had asked for more evidence from India last month about involvement of Fasih in terror activities especially in the conspiracy behind the bomb blasts in Bangalore and Delhi.

India had sought deportation of Fasih from the Gulf country and also secured an Interpol Red Corner notice.

Earlier, Fasih's wife Nikhat Parveen had approached the Supreme Court claiming that her husband was in the custody of central security agencies and was picked up by a joint team of Indian and Saudi officials on May 13.

Fasih Mohammed is second terror suspect to be deported from Saudi after 26/11 Mumbai terror attack suspect Zabiuddin Ansari alias Abu Jundal.
