Seemingly unfazed at being ousted from the Asian Athletics Association, scam-tainted Suresh Kalmadi on Monday said losing the presidential re-election bid to Qatar’s Dahlan Jumaan Al-Hamad has actually given him a chance to work at the “grassroots” level.
“I have no issues today and I congratulate Mr Al-Hamad for being elected as President. I am rather relieved that I will be able to work at the grassroots level in athletics,” Mr. Kalmadi said after losing the vote during the ongoing AAA Congress in Pune.

Mumbai - Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Sunday said that his party supremo Bal Thackeray was absolutely fine.

"There are rumours being spread, Bala Saheb is absolutely fine. He has wished all the people of the country, Mahatashtra and his well-wishers on the auspicious occasion of Diwali," he said.

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray met his uncle Bal Thackeray earlier on Saturday amid mounting concern over the Shiv Sena chief's health.

The health condition of Bal Thackeray, who has been ailing for a long time, was earlier reported to be very critical.
