Seemingly unfazed at being ousted from the Asian Athletics Association, scam-tainted Suresh Kalmadi on Monday said losing the presidential re-election bid to Qatar’s Dahlan Jumaan Al-Hamad has actually given him a chance to work at the “grassroots” level.
“I have no issues today and I congratulate Mr Al-Hamad for being elected as President. I am rather relieved that I will be able to work at the grassroots level in athletics,” Mr. Kalmadi said after losing the vote during the ongoing AAA Congress in Pune.

New Delhi - The Delhi Police Friday filed a supplementary charge-sheet in the Feb 13 Israeli embassy car blast here, which mentions details of the vehicles used by the suspects and their telephonic calls.

Filing the charge-sheet before Additional Sessions Judge Asha Menon, police gave details of vehicles used in the blast and details of over 4,000 mobile phone calls.

The supplementary charge sheet contains verification report from the transport authorities of the vehicles used by Iranian suspect Houshang Afshar Irani to recce the Israeli Embassy and to plant the bomb on the vehicle of diplomat.

Irani is one of the four Iranian suspects named in the main charge sheet filed Aug 31 last year, in the case. The others are Masoud Sedaghatzadeh, Seyed Ali Mahdiansadr and Mohammed Reza Abolghashemi. Indian journalist Syed Mohammad Kazmi is also among the accused.

Police in the supplementary charge-sheet also sought sanction to prosecute Kazmi under the Explosive Substances Act.

The supplementary charge-sheet also included the cell ID chart of Delhi with 4,974 entries related to call records of two mobile phone numbers allegedly used by Kazmi and the suspects before the attack.

"During investigation, Dharmender Sharma produced a motorcycle used by Houshang Afshar Irani, along with its documents stating thathe has purchased the vehicle from Rajender Yadav."

"Therefore, ownership of the motorcycle was got verified from Transport Authority of Janakpuri which was found in the name of Rajender Yadav."

Kazmi was arrested March 6 for his alleged involvement in the embassy car bombing. Four people were injured when an Israeli embassy car was struck by a bomb near the Prime Minister's House in central Delhi on Feb 13.

Tal Yehoshua Koren, 42, wife of Israeli defence attache Colonel Yossi Refaelov, suffered multiple injuries when a motorcycle rider attached a magnetic explosive device to her car and sped away.
