Seemingly unfazed at being ousted from the Asian Athletics Association, scam-tainted Suresh Kalmadi on Monday said losing the presidential re-election bid to Qatar’s Dahlan Jumaan Al-Hamad has actually given him a chance to work at the “grassroots” level.
“I have no issues today and I congratulate Mr Al-Hamad for being elected as President. I am rather relieved that I will be able to work at the grassroots level in athletics,” Mr. Kalmadi said after losing the vote during the ongoing AAA Congress in Pune.

BJP committed to building Ram temple at Ayodhya: Rajnath Singh

Allahabad -Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Rajnath Singh on Wednesday said his party is committed to the construction of a Ram Temple at Ayodhya.

"BJP has been committed to these agendas from a very long. The culture and the Hindu religion that we all believe in, it is our deep desire that a temple should be constructed at the ' Ram Janmabhoomi'," he told media here.

The BJP President further said that the Vishwa Hindu Parishad meeting on the sidelines of the Maha Kumbh in Allahabad should not be viewed politically.
