Seemingly unfazed at being ousted from the Asian Athletics Association, scam-tainted Suresh Kalmadi on Monday said losing the presidential re-election bid to Qatar’s Dahlan Jumaan Al-Hamad has actually given him a chance to work at the “grassroots” level.
“I have no issues today and I congratulate Mr Al-Hamad for being elected as President. I am rather relieved that I will be able to work at the grassroots level in athletics,” Mr. Kalmadi said after losing the vote during the ongoing AAA Congress in Pune.

Warm day in Delhi, similar weather Sunday

New Delhi - It was yet another warm and sunny day in the capital Saturday with the maximum temperature settling six notches above average at 33.8 degrees Celsius. The Met office has forecast similar weather Sunday.

The day's minimum temperature was 13.6 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year.

Humidity levels saw a high of 92 percent and a low of 24 percent.

"There will be light mist tomorrow (Sunday) morning ... the day would be sunny and pleasant," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 33 and 15 degrees Celsius, added the official.

Friday's maximum temperature was 31.8 degrees Celsius, four notches above average, while the minimum settled at 13.7 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year.
