Seemingly unfazed at being ousted from the Asian Athletics Association, scam-tainted Suresh Kalmadi on Monday said losing the presidential re-election bid to Qatars Dahlan Jumaan Al-Hamad has actually given him a chance to work at the grassroots level.
I have no issues today and I congratulate Mr Al-Hamad for being elected as President. I am rather relieved that I will be able to work at the grassroots level in athletics, Mr. Kalmadi said after losing the vote during the ongoing AAA Congress in Pune.

Models send mercury levels soaring at ‘Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week’

New Delhi - Models in casual and contemporary attire, mesmerised the audience who were enchanted by the music, the magician’s hat, bow ties, cherry noses, balloons and the juggling bottles, which they carried on the fourth day of the ongoing Will Lifestyle India Fashion Week in New Delhi on Saturday.

B-Town actor Dino Morea said, “They are all hand embellished, there are a lot of graphic lines but yes we’ve used sequence, we’ve used ribbons, we’ve used Swarovski crystals, lots of them and we’ve used elements like corks and you know fabrics, water caps and lots and lots of different elements”.

Dino Morea also explained the different techniques used to design his collection

India’s ace designers showcased a wide range of gowns and collections at the ongoing Wills India Lifestyle Fashion Week in New Delhi.

The models seemed to be having fun as designer Aneeth Arora’s collection brought about a breath of fresh air.

The show saw many designers like Rina Dhaka & Dino Morea showcasing their ingenious collection.

The collections featured straight shifts and drop waist silhouettes, the popular empire and a line dresses with black as the reigning colour.

On the fourth day of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, models were seen wearing Arora’s collection, which featured checkered loose dresses in pashmina, loose trousers, wool jackets, striped and checkered cotton shorts, pinafores, pleated dresses, wool jumpsuits and hand knitted sweaters.

The clothes were multi-layered and worn with colourful knee socks, striped and dotted bow ties, oversized bags and boots. She evoked the image of a carefree young girl who stamped her feet while walking, someone we have all seen somewhere.

The editor of Vogue, Priya Tanna explained the importance of the Vogue Fashion fund saying that it was imperative to promote new and upcoming talent and lauded Aneetha for the collection designed by her.

“India is home to the most exceptional design and fashion talent. The purpose behind the Vogue fashion fund, the intent is to help identify a winner, help them manage there creative success with commercial success and I can say that we couldn’t have found a better winner than Aneetha,” said Tanna.

The fund awarded Aneeth Arora with a sum of 25 lakh rupees (2.5 million rupees) and declared her as the winner for her fresh and casual designs.

Around 125 new comers and veteran designers of the fashion industry were expected to join the event with their creations. The five-day long fashion event, which is celebrating its 21st edition, would conclude on Sunday.

The Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) is a highly acclaimed fashion event in India. Designers unveil their new collections to upgrade and set new fashion trends in the nation in every season of the year.

The show also facilitates platform and opportunities for buyers in the retail business. WIFW is a big name not only among buyers and designers. It also entices India’s youth who are fashionable and conscious of their style statement.
