Seemingly unfazed at being ousted from the Asian Athletics Association, scam-tainted Suresh Kalmadi on Monday said losing the presidential re-election bid to Qatar’s Dahlan Jumaan Al-Hamad has actually given him a chance to work at the “grassroots” level.
“I have no issues today and I congratulate Mr Al-Hamad for being elected as President. I am rather relieved that I will be able to work at the grassroots level in athletics,” Mr. Kalmadi said after losing the vote during the ongoing AAA Congress in Pune.

Amity, RICS to launch India's first school of built environment

NOIDA (UP) - Amity University and RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) India will launch India’s first and only School of Built Environment-RICS School of Built Environment at Amity University.

Minister of Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs Kamal Nath and Minister for Housing and Urban Poverty Ajay Maken will jointly launch the Amity-RICS School of Built Environment on April 10 at 9:45 a.m. at the Taj Palace Hotel, Diplomatic Enclave, New Delhi.

RICS School of Built Environment, Amity University is an industry led academic institution, supported by Ministry of Urban Development.

The school will offer a BBA in real estate and urban infrastructure, an MBA in real estate and urban infrastructure and an MBA in construction project management.

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors is the world’s leading self-regulatory professional body for qualification and standards in land, property, construction and associated environment issues.

The launch is planned as part of the day long RICS International Conference  on the topic –“Global Real Estate and Infrastructure 2020: Destination India!”to be held on the same day.

A press interaction announcing the launch of the RICS School of Built Environment will be held in the Jehangir Hall of Hotel Taj Palace at 11 a.m.

Sean Tompkins, Global CEO, RICS; Mr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University UP & President RBEF (Ritnand Balved Education Foundation); Mr. Sachin Sandhir, Managing Director, RICS - South Asia  and Prof. K.T. Ravindran, Dean, RICS School of Built Environment, Amity University will address the media.
