Seemingly unfazed at being ousted from the Asian Athletics Association, scam-tainted Suresh Kalmadi on Monday said losing the presidential re-election bid to Qatar’s Dahlan Jumaan Al-Hamad has actually given him a chance to work at the “grassroots” level.
“I have no issues today and I congratulate Mr Al-Hamad for being elected as President. I am rather relieved that I will be able to work at the grassroots level in athletics,” Mr. Kalmadi said after losing the vote during the ongoing AAA Congress in Pune.

BSF gathering intelligence inputs relating to Chinese activities along Indo-Pak border: AntonyNew Delhi -Defence Minister A.K. Antony has said the Border Security Force ( BSF) has been continuously monitoring and gathering intelligence inputs relating to all Chinese activities along Indo-Pak border, and sharing the same with other concerned Indian Intelligence agencies for appropriate preventive measures.

"As per the report of the Border Security Force, there is no Intelligence input pertaining to Chinese activities at Gwadar Port. However, some Chinese Commercial as well as military activities have been reported in Sind province. Chinese commercial activities are reported close to Indo-Pak border at many places," he said in a written reply to Vilas Muttemwar and Jagdish Sharma in Lok Sabha today.
