New Delhi,(IANS) A security guard has been arrested for allegedly shooting dead a man and injuring his brother in south Delhi's Aya Nagar area, police said Wednesday.
The accused, Arjun, was arrested Tuesday from Dadri district in Uttar Pradesh.
He was absconding after shooting Surender Monday and then shooting his brother Harish Tuesday. While Harish died, Surender was critically injured.
"We have arrested the prime accused in Aya Nagar shooting case. Arjun first shot Surender in an incident on Monday. He then shot Harish (Surender's brother) in a separate incident," a police official said.
According to police, Surinder was Monday returning from a marriage when Arjun and his friend fired at him. But Surinder survived and was admitted to hospital, the official said.
On the next day, Arjun reached Surender's house and fired at his brother Harish.
Harish was declared brought dead when he was taken to hospital.
During interrogation, it was revealed that Arjun had an old enmity with the family, police said.
