New Delhi, (IANS) - Delhi experienced hot and muggy weather Sunday as the clouds played hide and seek with the sun, denying the city any showers. The weather office has forecast rains in the next 24 hours to Monday evening.
The maximum temperature recorded Sunday was 34.9 degrees Celsius and minimum 28 degrees Celsius, both a degree above the average.
The humidity settled at a high of 88 percent.
Delhi has so far received 223.1 mm of rains, five percent below the average.
According to the met office, the maximum temperature Monday will hover around 35 degrees Celsius.
"The skies will remain cloudy with possibility of rain or thundershowers in some pockets of the city," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
