Metro services to close three hours before time on Diwali day

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Wednesday announced that metro services in the national capital will be closed three hours before normal time on the occasion of Diwali on Friday.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) upping its ante on Commonwealth Games irregularities on Wednesday claimed that the Prime Minister's Office and the Union Cabinet approved cost escalations for the 2010 Games projects five times between 2007 and 2009 that shot the expenditure up from Rs 1000 crore to over Rs 2,400 crore.
