Moily terms former CBI officer's allegations in Bhopal gas tragedy as "irresponsible"

Union Law and Justice Minister M.Veerappa Moily on Tuesday rubbished comments of a former CBI officer, who claimed to have received a letter against pursuing the extradition proceedings in Bhopal gas tragedy case, by terming them as "irresponsible and unjustified".

A former Central Bureau of Investigation officer B R Lal on Tuesday claimed that he had been advised by the Exteral Affairs Ministry not to pursue the Bhopal gas tragedy case thoroughly, particularly, in context of extradition of the head of the Union Carbide, Warren Anderson.
