Omar snowed out and away from SrinagarJammu - Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Saturday tweeted that he was anxious to reach Srinagar from Jammu to monitor the situation in the Kashmir Valley after it was hit by heavy snowfall and consequent disruption in power supply.

“Heavy snowfall, coupled with high velocity winds & lightning has knocked out some vital transmission lines. Repair hampered by snow,” he tweeted and said he is “waiting for the runway to open in Srinagar so I can fly in from Jammu with a team of officers to monitor the situation on the ground”.
