Gadkari files defamation case against Digvijay Singh

New Delhi - Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Nitin Gadkari Monday filed a defamation case against Congress leader Digvijay Singh for dragging his name into alleged irregularities in coal block allocation.

Gadkari appeared in the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Sudhesh Kumar to file the case.

According to the complaint, Digvijay Singh named him in the allocation of coal blocks to a company belonging to BJP's Rajya Sabha member Ajay Sancheti. Sancheti has been alleged to be Gadkari's close associate.
