RJD corners Nitish Govt., demands regularisation of jobs of teachersPatna - Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) legislators staged a protest outside the Bihar Assembly here on Monday demanding regularisation of jobs of teachers.

Bhai Birendra, one of the protesting RJD MLAs, criticised the Nitish Kumar Government for not taking adequate steps to improve the level of education in Bihar.

"We are demanding that the contractual teachers should be made permanent and we are also demanding from the government to take effective steps to improve the level of education which has deteriorated," said Birendra.

"The contractual teachers are protesting in several districts and towns. It is very sad that none of the government officials here are ready to listen to their demands," he added.

The RJD legislators also raised slogans as a mark of their protest against the government's apathy over the demands of contractual teachers.

The protest erupted even as the Budget Session began in Bihar today.

The 45-day Budget Session , which will end on April 3, will have 29 sittings.
