London - A UK architect has come up with a unique design of a see through house made entirely from glass.
Carlo Santambrogio, who has released artistic impressions of his project, plans to build the entire house with 7mm thick glass.
In one of the pictures, the architect has shown his Concept Home in a secluded winter woodland
The home is available at Santambrogio 's London Portland Street showroom, and the images are currently being used to showcase his glass furniture range, which he has named Simplicity.
“After the client requested it I came up with the project idea,†the Daily Mail quoted Santambrogio as saying.
“The aim of the project was to give transparent shape to a precise and essential way of conceiving and living the spaces,†he added.
At 4,000 pounds per square metre, a typical three bedroom family home would cost about 400,000 pounds to build, the report claimed.
Almost every aspect of the house is made of glass, from the dining table, to the stairs, but it seems comfort still comes first for the architect, as the bed is one of the only items not made of glass.
Besides the spectacular view the house would offer, it also features specially heated glass which can adapt to any setting and weather.
