Melbourne - Former Tennis player Anna Kournikova is among the high-profile Russian beauties being invited to the Russian-inspired Emirates marquee during Spring Racing Carnival in Australia.

The theme of the Emirates marquee at Flemington is based on the old Russian city St Petersburg, with the marquee being modelled on the famous Catherine Palace, reports the Herald Sun.

Despite retiring in 2003, Kournikova still has a worldwide following and has always been very popular in Australia.

Other Russian beauties invited include supermodel Natalia Vodianova, Miss Universe Russia Oxana Fedorova and Miss Russia 2010 Irina Antonenko.
