Jenson Button escapes traffic fine with ‘charming’ £170K McLaren carLondon - Jenson Button is said to have avoided a traffic fine by charming a traffic warden with his 170,000-pound McLaren racing car.

The Formula One ace parked his car outside Hugo Boss in Sloane Square but did not seem to have correctly paid and display before making his way into the shop with a friend.

The 31-year-old’s black McLaren sports car soon caught the attention of motor fans, who gathered around to have a look at the vehicle while Button was treating himself to designer goods.

The hullabaloo at the site attracted a passing traffic warden who began to issue a parking ticket, but later on when Button and his friends came out pleading, the official let them go.

"Jenson did pay and display but this was not visible to the traffic warden when he began issuing the ticket," the Daily Mail quoted a spokesperson for the driver as saying.

"His friend pointed this out when he came out of the shop and the warden agreed not to issue the ticket," he added.
