London - Tamara Ecclestone has revealed that her surname has been as much a curse as it has been a blessing for her.
The 27-year-old elder daughter of F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone also admitted that being an Ecclestone hasn’t always made her life easy as the pressure to perform well is constantly hovering over her, more than anyone else.
"I’m proud to be an Ecclestone but it hasn’t always made my life easy, " the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.
"People might assume that my name kicks open every door. Or they presume that everything I do, especially the Sky Sports job, is down to a phone call from Bernie.
"Even when I get an opportunity there’s a pressure to prove that I can achieve things with my own talent. A lot of that pressure I put on myself. I always feel that I have to be three times better than anyone else," she added.
