London - Force India driver Paul Di Resta has confessed to being under pressure to perform during his second full year on the Formula One circuit.
The Scot is considered one of the most talented drivers in the championship this year and his struggle to compete with rivals Nico Hulkenberg and Jules Bianchi is what is putting him under pressure.
Di Resta feels the pressure on him is more this year since he isn't considered an amateur anymore.
"There's always pressure in any sport but, yeah, there's a little more as I'm not a rookie any more. There is that nature there to try to beat your team-mate but you need to focus on your own driving and we're all there to represent Force India," The Sun quoted Di Resta, as saying.
Force India finished at an imposing sixth position in the F1's pecking order last season only four points behind fifth-placed Renault.
He now feels that his team will be starting better this year than the last year due to the impetus they picked up at the end of the last season.
"It would be great to start where we left off. The big thing we're going for is a stronger start than last year because the momentum at the end of the year was incredible," he added.
