London - Sports stars have taken to Twitter to condemn the post-fight brawl between boxing stars David Haye and Dereck Chisora, with Queen Park Rangers footballer Joey Barton leading the attack.

Barton, 29, described Chisora and Haye as an “embarrassment to British sport.”

“I for one don’t want to see them on TV boxing. Chisora’s a bum and Haye is a show pony. Rather they scrap in private, The Daily Star quoted Barton, as saying.

Ex welterweight boxing champion Ricky Hatton, 33, called the incident “disgusting.”
He retweeted boxer Dave Coldwell, 37,as saying: “British Boxing Board need to sort him out. Biting, slapping and spitting. Is this what we want our kids to look up to?”

“Haye and Chisora are shameful,” Olympic hurdler Andy Turner, 31, said.
Chisora and Haye had earlier squared up at a press conference after Chisora had lost to Vitali Klitschko in Germany.

Chisora, 28, is facing an assault probe over claims that he had threatened to shoot Haye.
