Borde, Mahita top in Chennai cycling race

Chennai - Rahul Borde from Maharashtra won the Mensâ€™ National Race in the inaugural BSA Hercules Chennai Cycling race here Sunday, covering the 56 km course in 1:20.50 seconds ahead of Patiala based Pankaj Kumar and Ashif M Attar from Karnataka.

In Womenâ€™s National Race, Mahita Mohan (Kerala) came first, covering the 36 km course in 58.13.2 followed by Deepa Chandran and Parvathy Viji both from Kerala.

A total cash prize of Rs 5 lakhs was given away to the top finishers in both the elite races.
