Seemingly unfazed at being ousted from the Asian Athletics Association, scam-tainted Suresh Kalmadi on Monday said losing the presidential re-election bid to Qatar’s Dahlan Jumaan Al-Hamad has actually given him a chance to work at the “grassroots” level.
“I have no issues today and I congratulate Mr Al-Hamad for being elected as President. I am rather relieved that I will be able to work at the grassroots level in athletics,” Mr. Kalmadi said after losing the vote during the ongoing AAA Congress in Pune.

Abbey Clancy says bad experiences don’t make her strongerLondon -  Abbey Clancy finds that the idiom ‘what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’ is “absolute rubbish” as she doesn’t think her negative experiences have made her a better person.

Clancy is best known for her TV and modelling work and for being the wife of Stoke City and England footballer Peter Crouch.

“‘What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’ is absolute rubbish,” the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.

“I don’t believe that bad experiences have made me stronger. When I’ve been in the headlines for the wrong reasons, I’ve paid a price. I’ve had to become a less open person. I’ve become much more guarded

and far less trusting in other people.

“Since I came into the public eye I’ve gained very few new friends. There’s always a chance that you’ll tell someone your life story and it will be in the papers the next day,” she said.
