Beijing - British Formula I racer Lewis Hamilton hope to prove third time lucky as he bids to get his first win of the season at the Chinese Grand Prix this weekend.
The McLaren driver, finished in third place in both races at Australia and Malaysia, despite starting both races in pole position.
He admitted that he is frustrated to have been able to convert those two poles into victories and is hoping for better luck in Shanghai — where he has won in 2008 and 2011.
“I have some vivid memories of racing in China and I’ve won there twice,†Lewis said to The Sun.
“I won’t deny that I’m disappointed to have had two pole positions and not to have been able to convert either of them into victories. But I prefer to think of it that luck just hasn’t been on my side, and that it will swing my way sooner or later,†he added.
Hamilton, who is currently second in the drivers’ championship and is five points behind Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso, who won in Malaysia, insisted that it is too early to start looking at the results table.
