Gurgaon - England's star batsman Kevin Pietersen paid a visit to India's flamboyant left-hander Yuvraj Singh at his residence here Thursday.
Yuvraj came back home Monday after undergoing treatment in the US for a rare germ cell cancer.
After meeting Yuvraj, Pietersen tweeted "Great to hook up with the pie chucker" and posted a picture on his twitter account of the two.
Pietersen, who is currently playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the Delhi Daredevils, had only a few days back praised Yuvraj for his battling qualities.
"I was lucky enough to speak to Yuvraj last night before his return from London. I plan to meet him this week," Pietersen said.
"As a sportsperson, our job is to accommodate and follow our fellow cricketers in their difficult times. Yuvraj is a fighter and he will fight through this period also," the English batsman added.
Pietersen and Yuvraj have had a personal rivalry going on for a long time. The Englishman referred to Yuvraj as pie chucker during the 2008 India-England Test series in India, for his innocuous bowling.
